League shoot is cancelled today, Tuesday 4/10 due to rain

Thursday, April 5, 2012

I have a few items for our members. This was also sent as email to our members. If you didn't get a copy, then we don't have a valid email address for you.

  • On Saturday, April 21, We're having our Traditional Shoot. We have a few surprises for you at the shoot that should add a bit of extra excitement and adventure, so be sure to show up.
  • There will be a work party on April 14. If you can, please show up in the morning around 8:30 or 9 to spend a couple of hours for a bit of springtime cleaning. We could really use your help, and you'll even get a free meal out of the deal.
  • Remember that the weekly League Shoots have started. April is for warmup, where your scores don't count. Then scores in May and June count for Leg 1 awards and July and August is another 8 week leg with another award.
Just show up on Tuesday evenings, preferably around 5 PM. It's a short, 14-target shoot, but you need to pace yourself so you end the course with a half hour or more of sunlight left as the crew needs to be picking up the targets while there is light.
We add your scores over the 8 weeks that make up a leg and toss out your two lowest scores. We then hand out awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each class on the Tuesday following the end of each leg.
Fees are $6 for members and $10 for non-members for each weekly shoot. This is an excellent way to keep up your skills for the monthly shoots as well as keeping up your storytelling skills with your friends each week.

See you every Tuesday night and then on April 21.--Mike W
