As a service to the community, Bowhunters Unlimited provides an introduction to archery and the range at Steven’s Creek Park. This is basic instruction, only and reservations are required.
- What is the cost?
Free for groups of 5 or fewer. Contact us for larger groups or corporate events.
- Do I need my own equipment?
No. You can use your own archery equipment if you have it, but in most cases we can provide equipment for you to use for your introductory session at no cost.
- What does the lesson include?
The introductory session includes an explanation of all the basic archery equipment, safe and proper use of the equipment, proper body alignment and shooting form, and an explanation of the Steven’s Creek Archery Range set-up and operating procedures. The instructors can also answer any questions you might have about where and how to obtain your own archery equipment and further instruction or coaching, if desired. By the end of the session, you will feel confident enough in your shooting to pursue the sport of archery in greater depth at your leisure.
- When is the lesson available?
Free lessons are available on the first Sunday of each month from March through October, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Special, non-regular-scheduled lessons are available for a fee.
- How long is the lesson?
Generally, you should expect to spend about an hour learning the basics of archery and the archery range.
You must make a reservation for a lesson. To do so, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or click HERE.
